Description Alexander “weej” Jones 2005-08-31 13:18:02 UTC
Distribution/Version: Gentoo

I don't know whether this setup is ideal, but it worked (... nearly flawlessly
but it wasn't that great) under 0.8.9.

I'm using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 audio interface with ALSA plug.

My ALSASink device is "plughw:1" because hw:1 doesn't work (sample format
incompatibilities). This PCM works fine with aplay, but skips to no end with
gst-launch or any GStreamer based audio player. No issues with my 16/44.1 card.

Updating versions, still present on 0.8.11.
Comment 2 Tim-Philipp Müller 2005-10-31 11:25:24 UTC
Could you try again with current CVS?

I've just committed a bunch of changes to alsa and audioscale. This looks
similar to bug #318767.

Cheers

I'd love to try it but Gentoo and CVS is a nasty combo :(

I'll let you know as soon as you get a release out with this fix.

I think this is a dup of bug #310859, caused by bad detection of the
buffer-size/period-size/num-periods. Marking accordingly.
