GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 314356
gnome-theme-manager icons missing when composite enabled in xorg.cong
Last modified: 2005-10-03 11:37:42 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I use the composite extension, gnome-theme-manager is unable to draw the themes icons (only b&w icons with question mark). I have the following error messages : (gnome-theme-manager:6218): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_drawable_set_colormap: assertion `cmap == NULL || gdk_drawable_get_depth (drawable) == cmap->visual->depth' failed (gnome-theme-manager:6218): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get_qdata: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed (gnome-theme-manager:6218): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_colormap_get_visual: assertion `GDK_IS_COLORMAP (colormap)' failed (gnome-theme-manager:6218): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_visual_get_screen: assertion `GDK_IS_VISUAL (visual)' failed (gnome-theme-manager:6217): capplet-common-WARNING **: Received EOF while reading thumbnail for gtk: 'Simple', metacity 'Simple', icon: 'gnome', font: 'Sans 10' Steps to reproduce: 1. enable composite in xorg.conf 2. run gnome-theme-manager 3. Actual results: no theme preview displayed Expected results: theme preview displayed, as it is with composite no enabled Does this happen every time? yes Other information: stations is a FC3 (Xorg 6.8.2) whith garnome 2.10.2 in /opt gtk+ is 2.6.7 Card is an ATI Radeon X300. I remember that I saw once the --disable-composite option for one gnome application but I can't remember which ... I just check for gtk+ but there's not such option. I have the feeling that this "--disable-composite" is the key : if yes, sorry for this unuseful bug report. :-)
This is fixed in gnome-themes-manager. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 152490 ***
