GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 313965
asynchroh typo
Last modified: 2005-09-20 05:02:30 UTC
I've found this typo translating the pot: #: ../gap/gap_decode_mplayer.c:597 msgid "Run the mplayer as asynchroh process" instead of *asynchronous* and #: ../gap/gap_decode_mplayer.c:596 msgid "Asynchron" instead of *Asynchronous*
One more translation problem: #: ../gap/gap_decode_mplayer.c:604 msgid "on: use deprecated options for mplayer 1.0pre5 off: use options for newer mplayer (newer mplayer 1.0pre7 has changed options incompatible)" I don't understand the last sentence: "...has changed options incompatible". This is a typo, isn't it? Maybe it means "...has changed incompatible options", but even so, I don't understand the meaning. In this case, could you please add a comment for translators explaining the meaning or modify the sentence to make it clearer? Thanks
I am reading a lot of times "Split video to frames". I am asking if it is more correct to say "Split video *into* frames" instead.
We use several times the sentence "MPlayer based extract". But should it be better to use "MPlayer based extraction" instead? I think so. Definitions of extract I've found: extract [Show phonetics] noun 1 [C or U] a substance taken from a plant, flower, etc. and used especially in food or medicine: malt/yeast extract The cream contained extracts of/from several plants. 2 [C] a particular part of a book, poem, etc. that is chosen so that it can be used in a discussion, article, etc: They published an extract from his autobiography.
