Description Steve Kelem 2005-08-16 20:46:13 UTC
Distribution/Version: SuSE 9.3

When importing a big QIF file, it takes hours to remove duplicate entries.
The X on the Progress popup doesn't do anything.
It should bring up another popup saying:
Do you really want to halt Import?, and then abort the import or continue,
depending on what the user typed.

I had gone all the way through import, then got the popup indicating that if I
want to change some of the settings, I could press the Back button.
I pressed the Back button, not changed anything, pressed forward, and saw that
it restarted the "check for duplicates". I didn't have hours to wait, so I
needed to abort.

As of r17245, cancel and pause buttons are now available during loading and parsing. These features have yet to be added for the duplicate checking phase, but hopefully will be soon. The code added in r17245 gets us most of the way there.

Fix committed as r17252. Requesting backport for 2.2.
Comment 4 Andreas Köhler 2008-07-22 22:51:44 UTC
Applied to branches/2.2 as r17375 for inclusion in GnuCash 2.2.6.
Thanks!
