Description Palak 2005-08-12 07:30:04 UTC
First time when started new evolution 2.2, was confused and started thinking
where is settings. From where can I setup a new account. At last found
preferences in Edit menu. And that too at last. While setting many accounts at
many times it was a long way cumbersum to go to edit and scroll at last. Here I
hope to have a shortcut for it. I enjoyed having a shortcut for import that is
ctrl+i. Can any one think of some good keyboard short-cut for preferences. It
would be of a great help.

Other information:
Just give short cut to edit-->preferences.

it's in "edit | preferences" because the gnome human interface guidelines tell
us that it has to be there. it's a gnome issue.

adding dependency.

manoj:
"control n" is the generic shortcut to open a new item (e.g. mail when you're in
mail view etc). this does not work.

Commited patch from Aloysius. C+S+s is the shortcut.

In Edit->Preferences,underlined s instead of n

In Edit->Preferences,C+S+s was the shortcut key and n was underlined. Now s has been underlined.

Wilma, basically it need not be the same. Also 'S' collides with Syncronization menu item. I would say, It is not reqd. Also when u give a patch, it has to be a unified diff.
