GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 313178
Clicking window in window list moves it to the current workspace
Last modified: 2005-08-11 09:26:23 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 4 (Stentz) Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.10.0 2.1.x Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: Clicking window in window list moves it to the current workspace Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Window List Applet Bugzilla-Version: 2.1.x Description: Description of Problem: Clicking a window in the window list used to switch focus to the workspace on which the window existed. It now moves the window to the current workspace instead. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. In "Window List Preferences" set "Window List Content" to "Show windows from all workspaces", "Window Grouping" to "Never group windows", and "Restoring Minimized Windows" to "Restore to native workspace" (or "Restore to current workspace", it doesn't matter). 2. Configure two or more workspaces in "Workspace Switcher Preferences". 3. Switch to workspace 1 and open a window (e.g. terminal). 4. Switch to workspace 2 and open another window. 5. Click the entry for the first window in the window list. Actual Results: The first window is moved to the second workspace, which retains focus. Expected Results: Focus is transferred to the first workspace and the first window is active. How often does this happen? Always Additional Information: This worked as expected earlier today, but after logging out and in again the behaviour changed. It's possible the behaviour was introduced in an update that just hadn't been applied, since I'd probably been logged in for several weeks and the Fedora 4 RPM was updated to version 2.10.1 release 10.2 on July 26. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@gnome.bugs 2005-08-11 01:50 UTC ------- The original reporter of this bug does not have an account here.
