GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 312876
gnome-keyboard-properties crashes while adding a new keyboard layout
Last modified: 2005-08-10 08:14:03 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu 5.10 1. Launch gnome-keyboard-properties 2. Tab "Layouts" 3. Press "Add" This bug is reproducable. I'm able to remove keyboard-layouts already added, but not adding new ones. It crashes when pressing "add". Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-keyboard-properties' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for your bug. That's probably a duplicate of bug #167234. Does the description match? Could you get a backtrace with the gnome-control-center-dbg package installed?
That's of course the same thing i think. but the patch isn't really a patch i think. testing it again with gnome-control-center-dbg
I'm not able to reproduce the bug again when gnome-control-center-dbg is installed. Since that package is installed, there's a layout there again and the button to add new ones is locked out. When i want to remove it i get an error, saying me that the x-server is not able to activate the XKB configuration.
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. Duplicate of Bug 308397 which in turn is a dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 167234 ***
