Description Marc O'Morain 2005-08-05 12:54:16 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu 5.4

1. Copy a file with a question mark in the filename from an ext3 filesystem to
an smb share.

The copy fails, I assume because of a quaestion mark is not allowed to be part
of a filename in Windows. The wording of the dialogue box is very misleading. It
took me a few minutes to realise why the copy operation wouldn't work.

Suggested fix: The dialog box should say that the '?' character is not allowed
to be a part of a filename in windows, and offer to sanitise the name of the
destination file for me.
