"312290: Text Formatting" is not a duplicate of "122706: Text: no multiple
styles" because "122706: Text: no multiple styles" is requesting multiple
already existent text tool capabilites to be used in the same text layer.

I suppose "312290: Text Formatting" is the same as "307985: Bold text without a
bold version of the font".

However, I wouldn't have requested this enhancement if at the time I wasn't
under the false impression that True Type Fonts already had the bold,
underline, italics information encoded within them.

Well, your initial comment to bug 312290 (this is the way to reference other
bugs, btw, as Bugzilla automatically transforms it into a link) was pretty
short, so we had to guess what you were writing about.
