1. Open a big text file
2. Go to at midle of the file
3. Select a portion of text, more linees than visualized 

Gedit scroll too fast and is very difficult to stop at 
desidered positon.

Same thint if you try to move a part of selected text:

1. Open a big text file
2. Go to at midle of the file
3. Select a portion of text
4. pick the selected text whit LMB
5. try to move up or down of visualized line

Yep, agreed. This is however a problem due to GtkTextView. reassigning to gtk.
