Description Ivan Kuten 2005-07-21 11:19:44 UTC
Please describe the problem:
win32 dia installer , page Choose Install Location , then Browse ("Broswe for
Folder page"), then "My computer". Any other than "Disk C:" leads to hang and
100%CPU usage. Installer stops working. ( Disk D: or Removable Disk E: are
functional and present). If I specify directly install location D:\Programm
Files\Dia - everything is ok.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Run through installer process
2. Choose Install Location
3. Browse
4. My Computer
5. Disk D:

Actual results:
100%CPU usage and installer hangs

Expected results:
Show folders of Disk D:, like it shows for Disk C:\

Does this happen every time?
yes

I see this too on the Windows Installer for Dia 0.94. As soon as you click on
the drive icon in tree in the "Browse For Folder" the installer hangs with CPU
usage at 100%. (Note: my disk D: is a USB key drive but that shouldn't make any
difference).

XP Pro SP 1.

With a known work-around this is hardly BLOCKER.
Given that this bug is not in Dia but in the
installer program I'm tmepted to resolve NOTGNOME.
Id would be nice if somebody could ensure this issue
is known and fixed with newer installer version, see:

This bug is very old. Anything specific that is left to be done?
Comment 5 Tobias Mueller 2009-02-23 13:28:42 UTC
I assume not. Ivan and Leon: Feel free to eropen, if there is anything left which needs to be done.
