Please describe the problem:
hi,

I don`t know if it is a bug of gtk+ our gimp self, but when I click on the
drop-down menu in the open- or save-dialog then the drop-down menu is as so big
as it would shows all available file-extentons but it shows only a few entries
and a very big white surface.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open the open-dialog or the save-dialog
2. click on the extention menu

That's the intented behaviour of the GTK+ widget.
