Description Vincenzo Ampolo (Goshawk) 2005-06-18 23:12:39 UTC
Please describe the problem:
afther you have created a parent folder and many child folders, with files
inside, and folders without any file, and click the right mouse button on the
parent folder and choose "Create Archive" in format tar.gz, the archive is
created but all the empty folders are missed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a parent folder
2. create many folders, some of them empty, others with files inside
3. Create the archive: right click on the parent folder

Actual results:
All the empty folders are missed, there are no all the empty folders in the package

Expected results:
All the files in the parent folder (and subfolder) should be inside the archive

Does this happen every time?
Yes... ever

Other information:
If possible, add also bzip2 support to this feature...

The corresponding application is file-roller, reassigning.

Confirming for file-roller 2.10.3

Compressing only empty folders yields no archive at all!

Reitling.
