Please describe the problem:
When i try to open certain JPEG files, the application crashes and and error 
is displayed. But for other JPEG files I can open normally. The problematic 
files can be opened normally in other image-applications.

Error msg is:
JPEG.EXE - application error
instruction in "0x00b57ac0" made reference to memory in "0x00000028". Memory 
cannot be written. click ok to end, or cancel to debug.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Opening certain JPEG files
2. 
3. 


Actual results:
the error msg pops-up

Expected results:
the file should be opened normally

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
I could upload two examples (one bad and one good) files for testing...

Please update to 2.2.7 and GTK+ 2.6.7 and try again.

It may be worth noting that the two pictures were taken with different cameras.
 The one with problems uses EXIF version 2.2; the one that opens okay uses EXIF
version 2.1.

Both images can be opened without problems on the recent Windows packages.
