Description Christian Hammers 2005-06-04 12:14:42 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If calling ggv with an URL that requires authorization, ggv
will enter an endless loop trying to access the file (from strace
and tcpdump). While in this endless loop, it also prevents any other
ggv invocations (like opening a local file) to display anything.

Steps to reproduce:
1. first console: ggv http://teste.bn.pt/t.ps
2. second console: ggv <any other postscript file>

Actual results:
both ggv will hang

Expected results:
second ggv would work

Does this happen every time?
yes

GGV is no longer maintained as part of GNOME. It has been replaced by the evince project. If your distribution still ships GGV you should report your bug to the distribution that ships it for a fix. Otherwise it is recommended that you use evince for your document viewing.
