Description Lenore Kosinski 2005-05-30 19:57:16 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg)
Package: Evolution
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.8.0 2.3.x
Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc
Synopsis: Crashes while typing in To: address (may have something to do with the automatic address search)
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous
Bugzilla-Version: 2.3.x
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0)
Description:
Description of the crash:
Often when I create a new message, and I am trying to type in the To:
address, but just type in the first bit hopefully waiting for it to find
it in the address book and auto-complete. At about the time I type
enough that it will go look, I get an error/crash: something about an
exchange storage error. It doesn't happen everytime, but quite often.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Ensure that you have the setting where it will try to auto-complete
address on.
2. Create a new message.
3. Start typing in a To: address.

Expected Results:
Should find the address, complete it, and let me get on with my mail!

How often does this happen?
I'd say 1/2 the time. I think when I start up evolution again, it works
the first time, but then times after that it doesn't.

After reading 305398, I would definitely agree that this is a duplicate.

Do you still want my stack traces? Cause I'm not too saavy and have been unable
to make gdb work for me as yet....:)
