GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 305626
used of accentuated administrator name
Last modified: 2008-01-15 12:55:00 UTC
Version details: french Distribution/Version: XP sp2 I use The Gimp french version 2.2.7 with an adminitrator name: "Joël",but this mame is accentuated ( "e" accentuated) The Gimp 2.2.x now used C:\Documents and Settings\joël\.gimp-2.2. The Gimp cannot write in these repertories created with this accentuated name.Gimp said some thing as :invalide adress C:\Documents and Settings\jo?l\.gimp-2.2. (note the ?) So Gimp cannot create small labels usable, for exemple, when I open a new picture or install new script... If I use a new administrator name (with the same PC machin HP Pavilion) with the name "JO" (or other name but without accent!)) and that I reinstall The Gimp again then any walk correctly (every thing is OK!)
Please update to the latest GTK+ (2.6.7) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 167973 ***
