GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 304000
Error handling doesn't work on scripts
Last modified: 2019-02-23 02:52:43 UTC
Please describe the problem: The error handling in the plugins prefs page only works for plugins, not scripts. The gui will indicate that a script is loaded even if it failed to load. It will indicate that a script was unloaded even if it failed to unload. Steps to reproduce: 1. Load or unload a script that will fail 2. The gui indicates the desired change in status, even if the action failed Actual results: Expected results: The gui shouldn't indicate a script is loaded if it failed to load. Same goes for unloading. Does this happen every time? Other information:
xchat-gnome is not under active development anymore. Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/xchat-gnome/commits/master Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather reactivate the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. You may want to switch to Hexchat (or another IRC client that suits you).
