Distribution: Debian 3.1 Package: nautilus Severity: minor Version: GNOME2.10.0 2.10.x Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: Problem with folders which haven't the read permission Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: 2.10.x Description: Description of Problem: When clicking the right button of the mouse on a folder with no read permission, the menu doesn't permit anything (for example we can't change the current permission to allow reading), and the folder is dissapearing in the file browser (and reappears when clicking on reload). And when one tries to open the folder, nautilus crashes. However, this problem doesn't appear with files with no read permission. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. mkdir test 2. chmod -r test 3. Applications -> System tools -> file navigator 4. Right click or double click on the folder test Actual Results: Double click : crash right click : folder is disapearing and the menu does't allow anything Expected Results: double click : a message telling nautilus can't read the folder right click : allowing to change permission by the propertie menu How often does this happen? everytime Additional Information: ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2005-05-06 11:28 UTC -------

Yes, i have gamin (version 0.0.26-0ubuntu3) installed.
