GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 303180
Fixed font cause crashe when openning Scheduled transaction dialog.
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:51:54 UTC
Distribution/Version: Debian/Sid When I'm try to open 'Scheduled Transactions' gnucash crashes. Assert message was from file gnc-dense-cal.c, line 319: 'dcal->monthLabelFont'. I've checked that program want to load font LABEL_FONT_NAME, which is fixed as "-adobe-helvetica-bold-r-normal--*-100-*-*-p-*-iso8859-1". I haven't got this font, becouse I use iso8859-2. After all I've installed package with iso8859-1 fonts and problem didn't appeared again. But, it's not the best solution: now I have a lot of stuff (xfonts package) which I need only for 1 dialog. And becouse dialog is localized, but with only latin characters I cannot see all of Polish letters on calendar. D. PS. Sorry for my English.
[No problem about your english, it is quite readable. Moreover, it's infinitely better than my polish! :)] Yes, I did a very silly thing by embedding the font name in the file. I'm adding a note to the GNOME2_STATUS file to try and fix this as a function of the gnome2 port.
Fixed in r12082; we use the style-defined font for both labels, now.
