Description Wesley Haines 2005-04-10 20:53:07 UTC
Distribution/Version: Fedora Rawhide

Distribution: Fedora Core release Rawhide (Rawhide)
Package: Evolution
Priority: Minor
Version: GNOME2.10.0 2.2.1
Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc
Synopsis: Signature disappears upon edit
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer
Bugzilla-Version: 2.2.1

In the compose message window (writing an email message), if I attempt to
highlight and delete the "--" placed at the top of the default signature, the
entire signature disappears. I have to Cut (CTRL-X) it to get it to go away.
Also, it would be great if there was an option in the signature preferences such
as "[X] Use signature separator".

Actual Results:
Entire signature block disappears.

Expected Results:
Just the "--" separator goes away.

running evolution-2.2.1.0.200504090310-0.snap.ximian.10.1 here, i can confirm
that deleting a character within the signature also removes the entire signature
text *after* my cursor posistion.
it does not matter whether i use backspace or the delete key.
is the component perhaps gtkhtml instead of evolution?
