gnome help browser crashes when i try to go to "index".

>How-To-Repeat:
using gnumeric, i call up the "format cells" window & press "help". then if i click either the "index" button or the "index" menu item, the help application crashes.
i'd be glad to supply more info, but need to know how to find the version number of a library.
