GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 272667
Not possible to save changes in Task properties dialog
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:51:13 UTC
Description of Problem: After making a modification in the Task properties dialog it is not possible to save the changes by clicking on the OK button because an Error dialog always appears. The message in the Error dialog is: Validation error: Completed date is wrong Even if I put in value in the "Date completed" the dialog appears. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the Task properties dialog for a task 2. Modify a field so that the OK button is enabled. 3. Click on OK Actual Results: Error dialog appears. Expected Results: No error dialog. Changes are saved How often does this happen? Everytime Additional Information: I am using GNOME 2.9.91
The same thing happened to me: Even the tinyest change (e.g. to the task text only) causes this error, so it is impossible to change a task in any way. Only exit is "Discard changes". Trying all sorts of combinations of "NONE" or various complete dates or task statuses does not matter at all. The tasks used to work fine before, but suddenly they stopped working. I cannot point to any specific thing that did this, except that I crossed midnight a fwe minutes before (I have no idea if that was relevant). Restarting evolution does not help. Restarting Evolution did not help. But the next day, after a reboot, the problem disappeared. I'm using standard Fedora Core 4, package version is evolution-2.2.3-2.fc4 Evolution 'About' says version 2.2.3
sounds like a duplicate of bug 330592 which has been fixed in Evolution 2.6. Can you please retest this and add your LOCALE to the description? Also see bug 344121. Thanks a lot in advance.
