I think this mean that the text can't be highlighted in the e-text area

Comment 3 Dave Malcolm 2005-02-24 00:32:22 UTC
To rephrase:

In the Week and Month View of Evolution Cal,
after selecting an appointment, you can select the text using
mouse-down and drag (as expected)

However in the Day and Work View, after selecting the apoointment, you
can't highlight the text with mouse-down and drag (bug).

(verified, with Evolution 2.1.3.1)

retargetting from 1.3 to 1.5 to get rid of that busted milestones (as discussed
with harish on irc)
Comment 5 Matthew Barnes 2006-08-23 15:39:06 UTC
Can someone give me an update on this one, as it's still haunting my bug list? Trying this out with evolution-2.7.92, I can't seem to get text to highlight in _any_ of the views. Not even the ones that were working before, according to comment #3.

I'm not sure what this bug is really about: not being able to highlight text in appointments, or the inconsistent highlighting behavior. In the latter case, one could argue that this bug can be closed because the inconsistency has been fixed. But others may view it as a regression.
Comment 6 Tollef Fog Heen 2007-10-17 06:47:37 UTC
It still seems inconsistent here. In day and work week mode, I can not move the insertion point using the mouse. In week and month view, I can move the insertion point. In list view, I can move the insertion point and select text.

(I'm testing using evolution 2.12 with e-d-s 1.12.0, Ubuntu 7.10, AMD64)

Bumping version to a stable release.
Comment 8 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:03:50 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
