Description Matt Smith 2004-05-14 20:09:55 UTC
Description of Problem:
My Exchange 2000 environment consists of Front End
servers hosting OWA via HTTPS, and Backend Mail
Store servers, without OWA.

When I try to view another user's folder, using
File->Open Other User's Folder, I get an error
"Generic Error".

Packet sniffing the transaction, evolution seems
to query the GC for the location of the "Other
User's Folder", and then directly connect to the
server containing the Mail Store, bypassing the
Front End OWA servers.

If I "fool" evolution by setting the FQDN of the
Mail Store servers to the IP address of the OWA
server, via my hosts file, everything works great.
However, this is not a solution for other reasons.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. File -> "Open Other User's Folder"
2. Enter user's email address, choose Calendar
3. Failure

Actual Results:
"Generic Error"

Expected Results:
View other users calendar

How often does this happen?
Every time

Additional Information:
Functionality is definitely there, as hosts file
trick above works. However, folder location logic
may need to change, or at least have an option to
perform ALL operations through OWA server.

OS is Debian Sarge
