Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:03:47 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: Evolution is allowing to save the cotact with out giving the name of the contact Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. go to file->new->contact 2. in the contact editor fill any field other than file name 3. ok button is getting enabled ,click on ok button Actual Results: contact is getting saved and appearing in the contacts with our the name of the contact displayed Expected Results: Evolution should not allow to save the contact if the contact name is not given(ok button should not get enabled) How often does this happen? Every time Additional Information:
evolution1.5-1.5.8.0.200405281008-0.snap.ximian.8.1: if i enter nothing, evolution's ok button is greyed out. if i enter something and then delete it again, the ok button does not get greyed out again (this works when using contact *lists* btw, so please copy that code ; -). then if i click the ok button, a popup window reminds me that "File as" is not allowed to be empty, but the field which is meant is labelled "File under" and not "File as"! therefore adding UI keyword because of described inconsistency.
still valid in evolution-2.1.3.2.0.200501160930-0.snap.ximian.10.1.
the decribed ui inconistency is fixed
siva: yes, *only* the "file under" vs "file as" is fixed. the broken inaccessible OK button still exists, therefore reopening.
still valid in evolution-2.2.0.0.200503210410-0.snap.ximian.10.1; retargetting to 2.3
