Description Jeff Gordon 2004-03-19 14:41:34 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Cosmetic
Version: GNOME2.2.2 1.4.6
os_details: Ximian, Inc.
Synopsis: No Context Menu in Message Preview
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Shell
Description:
Description of Problem:
Right-Clicking within the message preview pane [after cursor changes to
text selection tool] (whether text is selected or not) provides no
context menu for copy, or any other message function. As a side note,
view headers and view source should be on this menu.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Move cursor over text in preview pane.
2. Right-Click.

Actual Results:
No application feedback.

Expected Results:
Context menu displayed.

How often does this happen?
Consistently.

Additional Information:
UI convinience in operation would dictate actions taken which affect
display in location concerned should be displayed in context menu.
Therefore I believe the view headers and view source should be on this
menu as well as copy when text is selected (in addition to normal items
available).

Still valid in 1.5.7 development snapshots.

- Increasing priority to Normal and adding "UI" keyword, as this is a
UI issue.
- Shifting Component to Mailer.
- Setting version to 1.4.6, as this seems to be the version the
reporter used. Still valid in 1.5.7 though.
- Rescheduling target milestone.

Don't think this will happen in 2.0
Comment 3 André Klapper 2004-12-27 17:51:55 UTC
this is already fixed in evolution-2.0.3.0.200412170901-0.snap.ximian.
10.1, i have tested all described cases.
