GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 253509
"Status" needs translator comments
Last modified: 2008-07-14 14:35:22 UTC
The following translatable string #: gal/widgets/e-categories-master-list-array.c:82 msgid "Status" should have a translators comment. Is this status reffering to something as "status bar" or as "status in life" (well regarded by others or famous)? Thank you for your time Duarte Loreto
still valid in current cvs, adding dependency (blocks 36276). i'm also not getting the sense here (it's a category for contacts), and also these categories are not translated in 2.0.3. :-/
adding target as discussed with jpr on irc
well, I have no idea either. reassinging to addressbook guys as they will know
Rodrigo should probably look at this since he just re-did the category stuff.
retargetting the string translation bugs that were targetted to 2.1 to 2.3. for an entire list see bug 236276.
should be evolution-data-server/libedataserver/e-categories.c nowadays, i guess... anyway, punting to 2.5; adding "string" keyword
clarifying subject
changing target milestone from 2.5 to future. sorry, too many bugs, too less time.
Bumping version to a stable release.
Is this sufficient? /* Translators: "Status" is a category name; it can mean anything user wants */ It doesn't worth it to upload a "patch" for this... But I would like to know other ideas.
Although it might seem a bit picky, from the information gathered on previous comments, I would change the proposal to: /* Translators: "Status" is a contact category name; it can mean anything the user wants */ Thank you for looking into this! Duarte Loreto
this "a contact category" is not truth, same categories are used in calendar/tasks/memos, not only in address books.
Proposed text from comment #10 committed to trunk. Committed revision 9120.
