GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 251239
Reply types backwards then crashes
Last modified: 2003-11-27 17:45:48 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: 1.4.3 Synopsis: Reply types backwards then crashes Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: This one is strange. I tried to reply to an email as I have done so many times before, but this time I first had to move the cursor to the top of the copy of the email that was sent to me, and then when I started typing, the cursor did not move to the right after each letter was typed, but instead, the line following the cursor moved over and the new character was inserted leaving my message backwards. That is, if I typed the word "frog", it would come out as "gorf". I closed Evolution and restarted it and tried again, but the same thing happened, only this time, it eventually crashed and took me here to this Bug Buddy screen. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Read my email 2. Reply to this one email in particular 3. Type Actual Results: it types backwards and then crashes. Expected Results: It should type forwards and not crash. How often does this happen? It happened just now for the very first time, but it is very reproduceable with this one email in particular I received. Additional Information: Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...0x4051b8ba in waitpid () from /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0
