Description Carl Gherardi 2003-11-18 04:37:48 UTC
Description of Problem:

When receiving a meeting request from an exchange server (meeting.ics)
using the inline viewer, the time reads:
Starts: Wed 11/19/2003 02:30PM [Kuala Lumur, Singapore]
Ends: Wed 11/19/2003 03:30PM [Kuala Lumur, Singapore]

I live in Perth, Western Australia - which also resides at GMT +0800, but
it does look a little odd.

The Attachment itself does say Perth - I assume the evolution code assumes
the first in a list when reading a timezone:

Where: Meeting Room (106 Marine Terrace)

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Have machine set to Perth timezone
2. Receive meeting.ics from exchange server
3. Notice oddity

Expected Results:
Eventually this should read as the "correct" timezone.

How often does this happen?
Every time

Additional Information:

Trivial and cosmetic

We should be using the timezone of the text/calendar part of the
message. Do you have the complete source of the message including the
text/calendar part?

Apologies for the time taken to resond to this, I try to avoid meetings.

Running on 1.5.9.1 for Fedora

Ron Barnett from Moncrieff along with two IBM engineer's are coming in =
to discuss blade
servers for the PASOR application.

The following is the questions I emailed earlier, which hopefully will =
be addressed.

My main concerns are with size, power and weight, but hard drive =
mounting/interfacing seems like they may be the biggest issue.

Basic Configuration
* The system requires four servers
* All servers need to have access to a 1G Ethernet network.
* KVM access to all four servers is required.
* Minimum of four other external devices need to be connected to
the =
same 1G Ethernet network.
* All OS and Data disks need to be easily removable (not
necessarily hot =
pluggable).

SERVER 1: DRS (Data Recording System)
* Local (or possibly remote) OS disk (Linux)
* Needs access to Ultra 160 SCSI data drives (possibly remote)
(separate =
from the OS disk).

SERVER 2: TDS (Tactical Display System)
* Local (or possibly remote) OS disk (Windows 2000)
*       User GUI

SERVER 3: NaRCS (Range Sever)
* Local (or possibly remote) OS disk (Linux)
* Very processor intensive, probably requires a 4 processors system.

SERVER 4: NaRCS (Communications Sever)
* Local (or possibly remote) OS disk (Windows 2000)
*       Requires external sound output
* Requires two external serial ports

Questions
* Can it run off aircraft power 27.5V DC?
* What it the size and weight of the chassis?
* What are the environmental specifications?
* What are the specifications of the display adapter on each server?
* Does IBM have driver support for non server OS's (Linux Redhat
9 and =
Windows 2000, Windows XP).
* Can a server's OS disk be a remote Ultra 160 SCSI drive?
* Can a server access remote data (non OS) Ultra 160 SCSI drives?

I think JP already fixed this, right JP?
Comment 7 JP Rosevear 2004-08-15 04:59:35 UTC
So, the text/plain part of the message says Perth but the itip message
actually says Kuala Lumpur as the timezone. Not sure why outlook did
that, but we interpret the itip message correctly.
