Description of Problem:
For the last two days, I've noticed miscellaneous slow downs and hangs. 
This afternoon, while it was beind other windows and performing, I
beleive, a mail retrieval from POP servers, I received a crash dialog

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Difficult to reproduce.  Currently running was Yahoo Messenger,
Mozilla web browser, and Evolution
2.

System crashed while hidden from view
