Description beggs 2003-07-30 14:29:38 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: critical
Version: GNOME2.2.2 1.4.3
os_details: Ximian, Inc.
Synopsis: Evolution Crashes when mouse scroll wheel used
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Calendar
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)
Description:
Description of Problem:
When switching between preview and message-list pane in evolution 1.4
and using the scoll wheel (from microsoft wireless optical mouse) to
scoll the window evolution crashes.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. click on an email in the message-list window
2. mouse over the preview pane
3. scroll up/down with mouse scroll wheel (you have to do all these
steps quickly, the bug does not seam to happen if you wait for a few
seconds, also the bug seams to be inconsistant -- I can not reproduce it
with any regularity.)

Actual Results:
"Evolution has crashed... would you like to submit a bug report?"

Expected Results:
no crash -- preview pane scrolls correctly

How often does this happen?
to me? Once a day, then I remember to give it a moment.

Additional Information:
I don't know if this is a bug with Evo, or with the driver for the
wireless optical mouse.

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution-1.4'
