GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 246165
Browsing the calendar causes crash and displays nothign
Last modified: 2004-05-19 19:12:52 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Major Version: 1.4.3 Synopsis: Browsing the calendar causes crash and displays nothign Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Calendar Description: upgrade to latest version using red-carpet. Various problems: 1) Fonts of the GUI are all too big and are not configurable. Fonts in messgaes are fine and configurable. 2) Calendar is hidden by default. It took a while to notice that the calendars were hidden behind the summary windowframe. 3) Browsing of calendar dates that have appointments shows *nothing* in the summary window (though on the opening Summary page the appointments do appear and are editable from there) 4) Browsing of calendar dates eventually causes crash. ...all in all, it was a disasterous upgrade... Hi, I have further narrowed down the problem. Browsing to "Work Week", when the work-week window is closed (i.e. when the frame-bar is pulled all the way to the left) causes the crash. Unfortunately, *all* of these frames were closed by default after installation, and it took me quite a while to figure that out - all that was visible after installation was the "Summary" frame!

Did you also upgrade GAL?
Reassigning to GAL <hpj> gerardo: strongly suggests a GAL (EText) problem <hpj> gerardo: it seems that EText items are saddened by lack of space <hpj> gerardo: and it makes his computer cry
Please check if upgrading GAl fixes this problem.

you know, i swear it was. but i guess not. anyway, it's committed now to both HEAD and the evolution-1-4-branch of gal.
Sweet! I really love when one of the most frequent gets closed :-)
