GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 231355
Mail filters seem broken...
Last modified: 2002-09-27 18:15:39 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: 1.1.1 Synopsis: Mail filters seem broken... Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Description: I have defined a single mail filter... it is defined on incoming mail... the filter rules are as follows: There are three criterion, and execution is supposed to occur if any of the criterion are met... 1) Recipients contains usability@gnome.org 2) Recipients contains Usability@gnome.org 3) Subject contains [Usability] The action is to "Move to Folder" to a subfolder of my IMAPS inbox called GUP... I originally had only the first criterion and the filter failed... I thought it might be because most mail I receive from GUP has a capitalized U and perhaps Evolution isn't case insensitive... Example headers from mail that failed to be filtered: X-Auth-No: Return-Path: <usability-admin@gnome.org> Received: from mail.gnome.org not authenticated [209.116.70.73] by smtp-send.myrealbox.com with NetMail SMTP Agent $Revision: 3.12 $ on Novell NetWare; Fri, 27 Sep 2002 05:21:09 -0600 Received: from moniker.gnome.org (moniker.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) by mail.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 34CF1189F0; Fri, 27 Sep 2002 07:21:05 -0400 (EDT) Delivered-To: usability@gnome.org Received: from smtpe.casema.net (smtpe.casema.net [195.96.96.172]) by mail.gnome.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 1DC46188AF for <usability@gnome.org>; Fri, 27 Sep 2002 07:20:02 -0400 (EDT) Received: (qmail 12336 invoked from network); 27 Sep 2002 11:19:59 -0000 Received: from unknown (HELO ?192.168.0.3?) Evolution only filters messages marked as \Recent, so this may be the cause of your filter not working (ie, some other client or mail-check applet is seeing the messages before evo does and so the \Recent flag is removed and Evo never sees it). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 230470 ***
