Description suresh 2002-09-23 23:39:02 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Bring up evolution in Solaris 8 ko_KR.EUC (korean EUC) locale, ( seems
like the same is happening in ja_JP.PCK [japanese PCK] locale )

2. In the mailer window, the subject, sender, date filed headings are
displayed blank.

Actual Results: Blank GUI labels for Sender/Subject/Date fields.

Expected Results: Sender/Subject/Date fields should be displayed.

How often does this happen? always

Additional Information: This was happening in 1.0.8 too

Even though this may not be a part of the same bug, korean input to
Mail Compose/Calender Appointment Entry etc fails with '_' comes in
place of glyphs.
Comment 2 Jeffrey Stedfast 2002-09-24 00:19:01 UTC
this may be fixed in CVS already (I suspect that it is in fact) sicne
I completely rewrote e_font_to_native() last night.

(this is actually a gal text/font rendering issue)
Comment 3 Jeffrey Stedfast 2002-09-24 20:22:35 UTC
can you attach sample messages or something so that I can test this?
Comment 4 suresh 2002-10-23 20:39:02 UTC
There is no sample messages needed for testing this. This always
happen when evolution is brought up in ko_KR.EUC locale.
See the bug 232747 filed for ja_JP.PCK locale for similar issue.
