Description Rob Hughes 2002-06-04 04:40:51 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem: Folders are sorted by date of first message in
thread. A more logical approach would be to sort by the most recent message.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a folder and a rule to move all mail from a list to that folder
2. Play "try to find a thread that was started a week ago" to see if it has
new messages
3.

Actual Results: Waste countless hours over the course of a week trying to
follow threads.

Expected Results: All threads would be automatically sorted based on the
most recent message in the thread.

How often does this happen? Every time.

Additional Information: Enhancement request.

"A more logical approach would be to sort by the most recent message."

I'm not sure its so logical, it definetly isn't practical to implement.

Easiest way to find new messages is to hit 'n' or '.' or ']' or
whatever the ui people thought would be good this week for the key.

I have to agree with notzed. anyways... that said, I'll let the UI
people decide while marking as future for the time being. Since we
will not be implementing any new features for a while.
