GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 223332
Shared Folders created under Cyrus IMAP not showing up.
Last modified: 2002-04-11 21:27:11 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: 1.0.3.99 Synopsis: Shared Folders created under Cyrus IMAP not showing up. Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Shell Description: When connecting to Cyrus IMAP Evolution shows all the folders in my account as root folders along with the INBOX, when I haven't specified the namespace as 'INBOX'. The first repsonse would be that this is okay, but it becomes a problem when you want to view shared folders, such as Announcement lists. After doing research Courier-IMAP and Cyrus-IMAP use the 'INBOX' namespace torepresent the user's mailbox. This makes sense in that masking it will only allow you to see what is inside it as root level folders. If you don't mask it you can see other folders that Cyrus's Access Control List will alow you to view. Because UW-IMAP (shudder) and Cyrus-IMAP are very different, and have different namespaces. "mail, ~/mail, etc" for UW-IMAP and "INBOX" for Cyrus-IMAP it would be easier if you had sections for namespaces, or a drop down list of default choices depending on the server you access. As it stands right now Outlook 200x and Mozilla 0.9.9's mail client see shared folders. Best Regards, Geoff Stitt Unknown reporter: grstitt@openservices.net, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com.
