Description Morten Bek 2002-04-04 17:05:16 UTC
Description of Problem:
The 'Unmatched' VFolder shows all my sent mail as
well as any unmatched VFolder mails. It is
perfectly reproducible on my system.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start Evolution, Select 'Unmatched' VFolder
2. Select the built in Local Trash folder.
3. Select the 'Unmatched' VFolder again

Actual Results:
The 'Unmatched' VFolder now contains all my sent
mail as well as any unmatched mail. It also seems
to contain deleted mail from the Local folder as
well (I use IMAP, so I only have one deleted mail
in there - the Ximian Welcome.. ;-)

Expected Results:
That the 'Unmatched' VFolder only contains
unmatched received mails from my configured IMAP
account.

How often does this happen?
Every time I do the above (not very often).

Additional Information:
I have only one configured mail server, using IMAP.

Forgot to mention: I am using the snapshot version 1.0.3.99 from Red
Carpet (downloaded the 4/4 - 2002).

Reproduced in 1.0.4.99
Confusing to say the least...

unmatched needs some work, saying it depends on the rewrite tracking bug.

A recent should fix this. 1.0.6 will contain it.

If you have an 'unread' folder (which evolution now installs by
default), make sure you set it to only 'all active remote folders'
rather than 'all local and active remote folders'

This applies to all other vfolders too, they should not include 'sent'
in any way. Otherwise your sent folder will be added among the
unmatched list too.

There was a pretty stupid bug - if you ever vfoldered a vfolder it
would add that to what unmatched checked against - but with different
uid's. Basically it meant it didn't work at all in most cases :(

I checked here, changing the unread folder to only look at remote
folders, and it seems to work as advertised ...
