Description ^-^ 2002-03-14 19:48:08 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 1.0.2.99
Synopsis: evolution setup assistant crashes during "sending email" screen while checking smtp server auth type
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
setting up evo for the first time, using evo setup assistant. entered
correct
information as per anna all the way up to the sending email screen,
chose smtp,
entered host, checked "use ssl" checkbox and the one below it (can't
read it now,
it hung without redraw so that part of the evo window is blank grey).
when choosing
authentication type, i tried to click the button that allows you to
check which auth
types are allowed on your host, and it gave me a weird error - i
remembered the
same error when trying to check auth types from the imap host (earlier
screen) so
i unchecked ssl and hit the button again (this is what fixed it on the
other screen)
but this time, no, it just sat there a while trying to connect with a
cancel button and
then finally gave me a crash window - that evolution had died, and
popped up bug
buddy.
