Synopsis: Move tasks in the list by hand (instead of sorting)
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Tasks

Description:
When I used Outlook for two months during working in the summer I found
out a very very good thing: the task list can be sorted by hand.

One can move each task up and down and place it on a new position.

I used that for sorting the tasks in the order I wanted to do them.

In Evolution it is not possible moving tasks up and down. :-( So, this
is a wish from me. :-)

I would like to be able to move the tasks up and down, even if the task
list is grouped by a column, e.g. the "Category" column. I want to move
a task inside one group (out side of the group wouldn't make sense :-) )
and I want to move each group at once to a new position between the
others.

The way this should work is quite similar to that how columns of such a
table (task list, mail list) can be moved. Two big red arrows are shown
where the column will go when moved.

When I drag a task (e.g. click and hold on the "Type" sign (scratchpad))
and move the mouse around, the arrows are shown where it would go in. I
think it is not necessary to have a picture of the task sticking on the
mouse pointer like the column title is.

Another important thing is the [Esc] key. Dragging must be cancelable
with this key. :-)

Additionally I would love to be able to move a marked group of tasks to
a new position. They should stay in the same order they are before. If
the selection is made with some holes in, the new order is the old one,
but without the holes and the selected ones removed from their old
position (as always :-) ).

Moving tasks by hand will only work if the list is "unsorted".
