Description Ryan Hayle 2001-12-10 06:14:44 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 1.0
Synopsis: Evolution 1.0 Doesn't Remember Passwords
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
I recently upgraded to the acclaimed Evolution 1.0 on Debian (unstable),
assuming it would fix a previous bug preventing it from remembering
passwords for my IMAP mail accounts. Unfortunately, however, this has
not been the case. I have attempted to reset the save password setting,
deleted my ~/.gnome_private/Evolution file, and taken every
troubleshooting step I can think of, but Evolution simply does not
remember my passwords. If this is a remaining bug, I do hope it will be
fixed soon! Otherwise if it is an artifact of upgrading from pre-relase
versions, I hope you will include instructions for fixing the problem.

Creating ~/evolution/private directory corrects problem.
