Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 0.16.100
Synopsis: Appointments (public or private) don't show in the Day view of the calendar
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Calendar

Description:
When I add an appointment (non-recurring) and mark it either public or
private (doesn't work for either), it doesn't appear on the Day View for
that day, but it shows in
the other views (Work Week, Week and Month)

The public/ private bug is know.. I can't find the # ATM...

I can't reproduce your problem about it not being in the day view.
What time are you making your appointment?
Comment 2 Sean Leach 2001-11-02 17:55:45 UTC
I made the appointment from 4:30 -> 5:30, one thing is my "Work day"
was set to 5:00PM when I made the appointment (so it spanned that),
but I just tried to make one that ended still in the work day, and it
is doing the same thing (not showing on the Day View)

Seems wierd, and I made sure I wasn't doing anything dumb, like not
looking at the right day etc :)
Comment 3 Luis Villa 2001-11-02 18:09:54 UTC
Calendar guys, can you look at this real quick if you have a chance?
/me rumbles off to find public/private...
Comment 4 Luis Villa 2001-11-02 18:12:15 UTC
Actually, woobie, I can't find such a bug, nor do I recall one
filtering through... maybe it was on the lists? Either way, big
correctness issue. 1.0 if possible post-RC 1.
Comment 5 Damon Chaplin 2001-11-02 21:58:34 UTC
I can't reproduce this yet.

What is your timezone set to? (In the Tools/Calendar Settings dialog)
Comment 6 Sean Leach 2001-11-02 22:00:56 UTC
That fixed it - wierd, during setup, I selected the right timezone
(Pacific/Los Angeles), but in that screen (Tools/Calendar) it was blank.

When I set it back to Pacific/Los Angeles it worked, I guess the
problem was it didn't save my timezone settings from account setup.
Comment 7 Damon Chaplin 2001-11-02 22:48:20 UTC
cc'ing iain, so he can check that the timezone is saved properly
in the starup druid.

Also, we should default to UTC if no timezone is set.
