Description Michael Thome 2001-10-02 14:28:55 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Blocker
Version: 0.14
Synopsis: Evolution 0.14 hangs often
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
Evolution 0.14 often hangs (several times a day) on my machine. 0.13
was *far* more stable in this respect.

The hang most often happens after a folder develops an incorrect number
of new messages (e.g. "Inbox (1)" after the new message has been marked
read). Selecting the folder again often results in the bad behavior.
No evolution process is running in this state - it appears to be a
deadlock situation. Evolution windows do not update, and menus are
non-functional.

Note the machine is a 2-cpu SMP machine running a RH7.0-based install
w/kernel 2.4.10, glibc 2.2.4.

This works for me in 0.15.99. Please re-open the bug if you still see
the problem. Many of the folder count problems were fixed recently.

Thanks.

Mass close of stale bugs >= 4 months old. Odds are that the reason that the
user's have not responded are because the issues have been fixed in more recent
releases of Evolution. If your issue is still not resolved in Evolution 1.0.4,
please reopen and try to provide any additional information that was requested.

Thank you.
