GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 210409
IMAP and local folders
Last modified: 2001-11-08 18:02:45 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Major Version: 0.13.99 Synopsis: IMAP and default folders Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous Description: Hi, I just wanted to pass along a couple useability features I think you should add to Evolution. 1. I use Evolution to view my email over IMAP. I would be great if you could intregrate the IMAP folder view with the Local folders view so everything is not so confusing. I was thinking this could be accomplished via redirection like the "drafts" under "special folders" has the ability to have. 2. When email is delted via IMAP, send it to the Trash folder instead of deleting it forever, and/or add an undelete feature. If I accidentally delete an email, but haven't expunged it yet, I should be able to recover it. 3. Create an option to ignore those email formatting pop-ups. 4. an Evolutoin email server ala Exchange. This would be awsome! You could also make the inita pop-up of Evolution (currently the, Thanks for using Evolution" message) a feature of the server for motd like functionality. Unknown reporter: brentc@rational.com, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com.
1 --> definitely a dup. I totally agree with the reporter. This is a dup of 10381 (there are more, I think 10381 has the best report) 2 --> I agree there should be an option for moving messages to trash instead of marking them "deleted" (bug 206061). It is possible to undelete though (right click on a deleted message, click undelete). 3 --> not sure what the reporter means, there is a pref for sending your mail HTML or not. There also is a pref to enable/disable pop-ups when trying to send a user HTML-mail even when the receiver doesn't want those. Probably fixed? 4 --> probably a dup. Not an evolution bug anyway. I can recall something about possible future plans for this on the ximian website Nothing left, FIXED would not be true since there are some dups in this one, let's mark it as dup of 6061 (see 2) Changing priority to wishlist Changing subject to "IMAP and local folders" *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 206061 ***
Thanks for the report BTW
