But it also seems to imply a bug in the mailer's SMTP code. Do we have a bug for "sending mail through SMTP hangs" or the like? --- from me: I don't believe so (re: SMTP).
No, the comment was only relevant in the other bug. In this one, there is no SMTP hanging.
