Description:
I was clicking on a variety of vfolders while talking with chris, and my evolution window started getting wider and wider with lots of messages about examining, synchronizing, and refreshing folders in the bottom.  Then it crashed.

This is a bug in the shell.  But it also seems to imply a bug in the
mailer's SMTP code.  Do we have a bug for "sending mail through SMTP
hangs" or the like?

No, the comment was only relevant in the other bug.  In this one,
there is no SMTP hanging.
