GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 200254
Show week numbers
Last modified: 2009-01-19 13:11:08 UTC
We could show week numbers in the EWeekView (and even the EDayView)
The date navigator can show week numbers. Do we want them in the views as well?
As a result of the UI freeze today, I'm marking all remaining non-1.0 UI bugs to 'future'. Someone reading this should only change the target back to 1.0 under the following circumstances: 1) The change would not impact documentation. (i.e., 'how to do X' would not have to be changed in any way.) 2) The change would require trivial work for the programmers involved. Most likely, only the programmers themselves are able to judge this. So, if you are not on the evo team, or cannot provide a patch to them for this, you should probably not make any such changes. Sorry that this is going to impact so many irritating bugs, but we have to prioritize our limited resources.
It has been over a year since an update on this bug. Is it still being worked on?

to quote a nice idea from dup bug 215421: "If you go to the calender, check 'work week' as display, then you can see that left of monday and earlier than the earliest hour displayed, there is a grey field which is about 1/2 inch in square. I would find it extremly usefull if this field would be used to display the current calender week number in a big font, 14pt or so would fit in there I think."

Apologies for any spam... cc'ing usability-maint on all Evolution usability bugs. Filter on EVO-USABILITY-SPAM to ignore.
Created attachment 108780 [details] [review] proposed evo patch for evolution; It's not in bigger font, but I do not consider it as an issue. Also, the week number is for the first day in a view (for Week week view and custom week views).
Milan, want to get this in early for 2.25.x after Evo has been branched?
(In reply to comment #9) > Milan, want to get this in early for 2.25.x after Evo has been branched? Sure, but it's not up to me, it still waits its review.
Patch looks good to commit. Please announce the string changes.
Committed to trunk. Committed revision 37096.
