Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-terminal Severity: grave Version: newest helix Synopsis: Gnome terminal crashes upon desktop change when transparency is set Class: sw-bug Distribution: Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot) System: Linux 2.2.16-3 i686 unknown C library: glibc-2.1.3-15 C compiler: egcs-2.91.66 glib: 1.2.8 GTK+: 1.2.8 ORBit: ORBit 0.5.2 gnome-libs: gnome-libs-1.2.3-0_helix_1 libxml: 1.8.7 gnome-print: gnome-print-0.20-0_helix_1 gnome-core: gnome-core-1.2.1-0_helix_1 Description: I run enlightenment stand-alone. (no gnome) I set gnome-terminal to be 'transparent' and 'shaded'. I go to the enlightenment desktop background switcher, and switch the background to something new. I move the gterminal window to make it refresh the background image. It crashes. It crashes if I restart the program as well, and keeps crashing until I close X and re-startx. This doesn't happen every time you change the background, only if you do it through enlightenemtns background switcher (right click, change desktop background.) I maybe shoul dhave tried to find the errors it spit out.. but I didn't. IF you want them, email me and I'll give them to you. I can easily reproduce the error. ------- Bug moved to this database by debbugs-export@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-01-27 15:17 ------- This bug was previously known as bug 18457 at http://bugs.gnome.org/ http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18457 Originally filed under the gnome-core product and gnome-terminal component.
