GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 172977
Save dialog box unnecessarily attempts to read floppy disk drive
Last modified: 2008-01-15 12:51:44 UTC
Distribution/Version: Windows XP SP1 Steps 1. Create a new image. 2. Choose save from the file menu (ensure that the "save in folder" was previously selected to a non-floppy drive. Result While the save menu is appearing notice the floppy disk drive (a: on my machine) makes an attempt to access a disk even though the save in folder is set to a drive other than that floppy drive. This access takes 1-2 seconds and causes the floppy drive to make it's usual buzzing noise. Note that if I cancel the save and attempt to save again it does not attempt to access the floppy drive on any further attempts to save. Expected Result When the save menu appears it should not access drives other than the one currently selected in the "save in folder".
Please update to the latest version of GTK+ (2.6.4), AFAIK this has been fixed.
