GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 172698
lib-gtk on win98 crashes on load, every single time
Last modified: 2005-04-27 13:59:59 UTC
Distribution/Version: 98se I'm using gtk 2.6 via GAIM in win98se. When I load GAIM, using 2.6, it crashes every single time: "GAIM caused an invalid page fault in module LIBGTK-WIN32-2.0-0.DLL at 017f:00fed3ae.". I remember reading something about someone finding the problem here, but if that's so, why aren't there any new installers? I apologize if this bug is a dupe, but I searched for "lib-gtk" and "crash" and nothing turned up. Do I need to submit any other info?
Most probably a dupe of bug #169349, although without a stack trace it's hard to be sure. A stack trace (from drmingw) would be nice. Register dumps are useless. Bnary distributions (including installers) are usually made only for official source releases. If you want installers for CVS snapshots (i.e. built from the source at some point in time between source releases), ask the people who make the installers.
Created attachment 39713 [details] non-debug crash drmingw output
Created attachment 39714 [details] debug crash drmingw output Didn't know which of these would be most useful, so I submitted them both. (=
Was the given information not enough? What else is needed? I am happy to provide as much information as I possibly can to help get this problem resolved, if it is not yet.
I tried GTK+ 2.6.7 and Glib 2.6.4 on Win98 SE and there was no crash. Not with GAIM, but GIMP, this shouldn't matter much though.
Very probably duplicate, resolvng. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 169349 ***
