GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 169956
warnings with narrow windows
Last modified: 2009-12-04 04:43:52 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 0) Move location entry to main toolbar with toolbar editor 1) window so narrow that the location entry disappears 1) Ctrl-N 2) Ctrl-L in the new window 3) Type away Result: lots of (Epiphany:11898): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_event: assertion `WIDGET_REALIZED_FOR_EVENT (widget, event)' failed
Fixed in gnome-2-10 and HEAD.
The fix wasn't right, backed out. This is trickier than it seems; there's no way to prevent an item to be overflown; and detecting IF an item is overflown isn't possible either (consider the case that the toolbar has never been shown, i.e. realized before).
Still happens in 2.14.x
yep, reproducable in 2.15.91: sys:1: GtkWarning: gtk_widget_event: assertion `WIDGET_REALIZED_FOR_EVENT (widget, event)' failed
